Write the story of a favorite object

Choose one object and record what you know about it: where it came from, who used it and when it entered your home. Separate remembered details from dates or maker information you can verify.

Photograph the whole object and any labels or marks without altering them. Keep those images with your notes. If you do not know something, leave a question rather than filling the gap with an assumption.

Add a short explanation of why you enjoy the piece. An object’s place in your own life can be worth recording even when its wider history is uncertain.
